Adapted by Ronald Ritter & Sussan Evermore from the original work by H.G. Wells.
On the 20th July 1969 Apollo 11 the first manned mission to the moon landed on the its surface. Neil Armstrong officially became the first man to walk on the moon. With the famous words ‘That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind’ Armstrong wrote himself into the official history of space exploration.
What he saw on the surface of the moon was a barren rocky landscape devoid of any oxygen or water and without any ability to support human life in any shape or form.
At the time it was a political coup for the USA, to be the first to make the landing, nothing else regardless of its source was going to change that story, until now.
The real story can now be told because what Neil Armstrong found on the moon proved that the British had landed there before them in 1901, sixty eight years prior to the official version.
While searching near one of the rocky outcrops out of view of any camera, Armstrong made the almost incredulous discovery of a small British flag still standing where it had been planted into the hard lunar surface.
This is the fictional story of a moon able to support life and its rapid demise from the intrusion of two British cosmonauts in 1901. This is their story and your imagination.
